Nicole K. Trivlis is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and the Elizabeth Haub School of Law (formerly Pace Law School). While in law school, Nicole concentrated in International Law and interned for Trial Chambers III at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, The Netherlands and The United States Court of International Trade. Additionally, she was a student attorney for John Jay Legal Services Immigration Justice Clinic and was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Legal Education Student Award.
Nicole began her law career at a general practice law firm in New York, where she first worked as a paralegal in the matrimonial department and then as an attorney after her graduation from law school. After working for this firm for several years, Nicole moved to Washington, DC where she performed work on behalf of the government and private agencies. Since Nicole’s return to New York in 2014, she has been practicing New York family and matrimonial law exclusively. Nicole has extensive experience in all areas of matrimonial and family law practice.
Nicole is also a contributing author of “Onward and Upward: Guide for Getting Through New York Divorce and Family Law Issues” and was selected by Super Lawyers as a NYC Metro Area Rising Star in the area of Family Law in both 2019 and 2020. Nicole has previously been elected to the Board of Directors of the Putnam County Bar Association and was co-chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Westchester County Bar Association. Since 2016, Nicole has been the co-chair of the International Women’s Rights Committee of the New York Women’s Bar Association. Nicole is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia.
